Performances by the Ljubljana Fanfare Trumpeters

These pipers used to play in the wooden corridor of the pipers' tower at Ljubljana Castle. Now, they perform every Saturday at 11:00 on the balcony of the Town Hall in Town Square and at 11:30 at Ljubljana Castle. This tradition brings to life a part of historical events characteristic of the period from the 16th to the 18th century when pipers played every day at eleven in the morning during the summer, greeting important visitors to the city, playing at the election of new dignitaries, announcing proclamations, inviting people to festivities, and warning of dangers.
