From 21 to 30 December, a festively decorated Grandpa Frost’s Cottage will be set up at Congress Square, where children can visit daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (except on 24 December). Elves will be there to entertain the children, and from 26 to 30 December, between 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., Grandpa Frost himself will be present for photos and to hear the children's final New Year’s wishes.
Each day at 5 p.m., Grandpa Frost will depart from Breg in a carriage with Lipizzaner horses, accompanied by snowmen, bears, rabbits, and other characters from folk tales. His route will take him across Shoemaker's Bridge, Town Square, Stritar Street, Prešeren Square, Wolf Street, Congress Square, and New Square, with stops to greet children at key locations, including Town Hall, Prešeren Square, and New Square. On 31 December, he will also join the children’s New Year’s Eve celebration at Congress Square. Starting from 4 p.m., children can celebrate the arrival of the new year with beloved storybook characters, children’s music performances, and symbolic entry into 2024 at 5 p.m.
