This year marks the 50th anniversary of the conception of the first forest educational trails in Slovenia, through which foresters aimed to spread knowledge about forests and forestry in an interesting and engaging way, right in the forest itself.

With the opening of a photography exhibition at Jakopič Promenade in Ljubljana’s Tivoli Park, the Slovenian Forest Service (ZGS) concluded a series of events celebrating the 50th anniversary of forest educational and thematic trails in Slovenia. Until mid-January, 80 selected photographs from an international photography competition, showcasing nature-themed motifs, are on display.
