CONCERT OF OPERA ARIAS

The Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv and Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez are returning to Ljubljana after two years. They will again collaborate with RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, with which they already performed at the 70th Ljubljana Festival and received standing ovations.

Tourist events in public spaces

This call for applications also includes the annual clean-up campaign For A More Beautiful Ljubljana, organised by tourism associations within the City of Ljubljana. Events that obtain co-funding through the above calls for applications are extremely diverse, interesting and high-quality, and contribute to Ljubljana’s character as a relaxed city that is a pleasant place to live in and visit.

SEOGNAM PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, NANSE GUM (conductor), MARIA SOLOZOBOVA (violin), MIN JIO (haegeum)

This will be followed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3,  nicknamed “Strasbourg”  because of allusions to a local dance in the third movement. The soloist will be Maria Solozobova, a violinist who has won praise for her combination of virtuosity and creative spontaneity.

A game for two

Together you’ll learn about the properties of the clay, which is specially purchased by the studio of the Slovene Ethnographic Museum (SEM), where you’ll work. It comes from the area around Ljubljana and is entirely Slovenian. Together you’ll sit at the wheel and transform a kneaded clay ball into a unique cup. You’ll help each other tame the spinning clay, which tends to dance around the wheel when not quite under control.
