Komenda
It was the site of a Roman staging post, a Slavic settlement and - between 1223 and 1892 - a commandery of the Order of Malta. One of its most important historical figures was Peter Pavel Glavar (1721-1784), renowned as a priest, economist and patron of art who encouraged the development of Komenda and left all his possessions to the town's residents.

Closing of the 72nd Ljubljana Festival
The concert will end with Antonin Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World”. One of Dvořák’s most popular works, inspired by the melodies of Native American music and African-American spirituals, it was composed in the United States while Dvořák was director of the National Conservatory of Music of America.
